We are now able to provide the training for The New Jersey Security Officer Registration Act:
As of January 8th, 2007 anyone hired as a security officer must comply with the provisions of SORA.
Anyone presently performing the functions defined by the The Security Officer Registration Act must obtain a Security Officer Certification by July 1st, 2007.
The Security Officer Certification is valid for a period of (2) years from the issue date after attending the (24) hour education and training course.
“Certified Security Officer” requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid photo ID with valid expiration date,
i.e. NJ Drivers License, Passport, etc. - A valid “Temporary Certificate of Registration as a Security Officer”. Said registration is issued by the New Jersey State Police.
P.A. ACT 235 School:
Course price is $300 and includes the physical exam.
$100 deposit is required to secure a seat in the class with the balance due prior to the start of class.
Classes are held on weekends (four ten hour days).
All registered students are offered a discounted rate on memberships, lessons, and range time.
